AX275 cell phone - How do I can the length of rings to answer before it goes to Voicemail? Does anyone have a clue about the AX275? I'm searched the instruction manual and internet for any answer. My cell phone and Internet are BOTH acting weird...what is wrong? I suddenly stopped receiving text messages about an hour ago (I was texting with 4 people), and now my phone keeps intermittently telling me that there is no service. And even when there is service, the texts don't come in and I can't listen to my new voicemail. I do live out in the sticks, but I've always had at least enough service to send and receive messages. My Internet (DSL) started acting up around the time I stopped receiving texts; half the time when I click on something, the page fails to load. This rarely happened until now. Why would they both be acting up at the same time? What's the problem and what should I do?

I don't use my landline phone that often except for dialup internet but I want something faster? I was thinking of getting dsl lite or dsl from AT and T (have phone service with them). I pay about 36 a month for basic phone (voicemail included). I pay netzero about 15 a month for dialup. I don't use my landline phone that much so I was thinking of ridding of that and replacing it with a prepaid cell phone (don't use the phone that much). Would it be cheaper getting dsl and keeping the landline with At and t or getting internet service from a wireless provider and getting prepaid cell phone/getting rid of the landline? Or is it cheaper to get directtv or cable tv for internet? btw, I don't want to do a contract. I also prefer prepaid cell phone use since I don't use the phone that often landline or cell

Which is a better internet phone service; Vonage, Skype, or MagicJack? I can only comment on 2 out of the 3. I have Skype and I have MagicJack. I still have my cell phone but I changed my plan at a lower rate cause of my MagicJack and Skype. In my opinion, both have it's advantage and disadvantages. For domestic calls, U.S. and Canada, Magic Jack is cheaper, (that is if your not calling someone else with skype, then it's free). But if your calling from pc to phone then the charge is about $2.95 a month with averages to about $35 a year where at MagicJack is $15 less. Advantage with Skype free call to call with another skype subscriber, webcam advantage, however skype doesn't offer free call waiting, 3 way, voicemail like MagicJack and Vonage does. I don't have Vonage, my sister does, but clearly MagicJack is better cause Vonage is $24.99 a month where as MagicJack is $19.95 a YEAR. I think my cell phone is broken. help? For my bday last year i got a LG5300 from verizon in december.Basically its attached to my hip&everyday i send&recieve 500-600 texts.I chew on the antenna,but its just a stub.I also chewed on the top when you open it, and the screen cracked.Twice.The verizon store down the street said it wouldnt cause any damage.Chewing is a nervous habit for me if yer wondering.Theres also some minor water damage from steam&a drop here and there.But its nothing serious either.Anyways i usually get up at 4:30 in the morning to take a shower,&thats when i send my first texts to my friends to wake them up.Thank god they have alarm clocks bcos my texts didnt send.&for all of today i havent been able to send or recieve texts&calls,even to my own voicemail.Also,i have internet on my phone&that wont connect,not even to my account which you dont need internet for.I took it to the verizon kiosk thing in the mall and they played with it until it died bcos the battery was draining faster than ever.Is it broken?

I used to love this guy off the internet that i had been talking to on the computer and the phone for over 6? -months. I seriously fell in love and he fell i love with me. He was planning on coming to see me, but we got in a huge fight cuz he was always lieing. Is this a good cell phone plan? It's $22 canadian a month. 250 local minutes with voicemail. Unlimited texting. Free instant message and mail. No mobile internet. I know that it would depend on if all this is useful to me, but that's not what i am asking. I am wondering of this is good for the price you pay.

Was my son's cell phone stolen? Or lost and then found? Several weeks ago my son's cell phone disappeared (he is 12 and only has it for emergencies). We just moved so I thought maybe we lost it in the move somewhere. I still have tons of stuff out in our shed and thought i was in there. When I called the phone it went straight to voicemail and knew it was dead. Tried calling it several more times and decided it wasn't stolen/or lost outside our home. For whatever reason my son decided to call the number this evening and someone ANSWERED! It was a boy (sounded 15 or 16 years old) My son explained to him that it was his phone and the guy hung up. I was freaking out because I thought for sure it was around here (just lost) so I got online and checked the usage on the phone. Since Dec. 1st over 200 minutes have been used, 1160 text messages and they have used data(internet). Thanksfully most of it is covered in our plan. I looked at the call log and called a few of the frequently called numbers. All them were teenage girls and very RUDE, saying I don't know what your talking about or who this number is (when whoever has my sons phone called them five minutes before). Finall I got in touch with a girl who thought she knew who had it. After several call backs she told me she knew where it was and she get it. She just told me not to involves police and whatnot and I promised I wouldn't if I got it back tonight. Sooo after not success with getting it back from this guy (who eventually ended up at her house) she told me to have the police come because he didn't believe WE would do anything to get it and he was going to keep it. So I went to the local police department not knowing if there was anything we could do--They said there was-They called the girl then went to her house. She told him were the guy lived, they went to his house and he said he gave it to one of his BUDDIES! They search his room and everything (would i never imagined they would do!) They told him that he had 24hours to get it-- My question is, would you press charges for taking the phone and using it without your permission. It's not like he made one call. He MADE SEVERAL. To local places as well as to several different states. And how you can send that many text messages in FIVE days is beyond me! I am just afraid he won't have it tomorrow-I will have to buy a new phone, plus connect etc. Also I am sure he deleted all the messages, pictures etc. The phone is also sentimental since it was my exchange students while she was here and she had taken several pictures with it. I know there is no way to really prove he stole it but the officer said we could press chargers and se reccommends it if it's not returned. Do I have a good Deal for a cell phone plan? Ok I live In Canada, and there are no unlimited everything plans like the US has that I can get... or know of... I am 14 years old. Ok my plan is 250 minutes during the day, unlimited evenings and weekends starting at 5pm. Free calling to other people who have the phone company that I do. ( Around 60% of my friends have the same company as I do ) Then I also have unlimited texting, and mobile browser. For ever not a start-up promotion thing. I do not have anything like voice mail or caller id. The TOTAL of my bill is $34/month for the first year then $39. I bundled it so it is $24 then $29. Also my dad pays half of the $24 and $29. So I pay $12 and then $14.50. So I was wondering do I have a good deal? I use texting a lot! I text all the time... I never use the internet ( I like my computer better for that) and I kind of miss caller i.d but it is ok. Also I never used voicemail... Also the last phone I had was pre-paid virgin mobile 200 anytime mins just flat 200 minutes a month. I got a Motorola A1200 online and it has internet/bluetooth capability, but doesn't work...? I was just wondering if anyone knew how to program the phone to make the features work. I got it from a friend and he bought it online w/out a new service contract from one of these online cell phone vendors, but everytime that I call the voicemail, it calls his new cell phone. Is there any way I can save my voicemail messages to my computer? My answering machine mailbox is full so I need to delete the messages, but I want to save them. I can tape record them, but I'd rather have computer files than an old school tape haha :P is there any sort of way I could record them into my computer? How often do soldiiers get to call hoem from National guard Boot Camp, then from A.I.T.? my boyfriend left to Missouri with the National Guard for boot camp, I got one voicemail from a scratchy payphone the next day...I know that they are really busy and not to expect another call for a bit, but I am driving myself crazy checking the mail so I can atleast get an address to write to him. Visual voicemail on iPhone 3G? Our cell phones were turned off for 1/2 a day because of a situation with a stupid internet air card that was on the same account with my cell phones. Anyway, once I got it all straightened out and our phones were turned back on, the voicemail isn't working. My phone just rings and never switches to voicemail. How do I know if a modeling offer is legit? I recieved a random phone call the other night (at about 3am) and some woman with a British accent left a voicemail. She said the message was directed at me (and surprisingly pronounced my last name right, which no one does) and said she's from Image Modeling (at least I think that's what she said) in London. She was wondering if I'd be interested in modeling and told me to send a detailed email to one of her coworkers (she gave me an email address) and attach any headshots or photos of myself that I have. She didn't leave a phone number to call back and I tried looking up info on the internet on this so called "Image Modeling," but couldn't find anything. I've been told many times before that I'm very good looking and that I should try to get into modeling (not to sound arrogant), but does this sound like a scam or should I try it out? How much will the Motorola Droid cost per month? ha cell phone is awesome. Just as good as an iphone, but on Verizon. I know they cost $200 on 2 year contract, and I'm almost ready for an upgrade. Why do my parents keep threatening to kick me out of the house? It's retarded. They know I can't afford to move out and I know my mom wouldn't have the heart to make me homeless, so what's the point of threatening me? It's not like I completely freeload and never do anything with my life but that's how she treats me. She thinks I don't do enough around the house. Don't think I got the job. Interview 2 wks ago, but job is still posted on the internet.? I thought the interview went very well & I have lots of experience w/ this type of work. Problem is that I have been a stay at home mom for 7 years & the last job I had I got fired because of a background check. See, I had bounced a check over 4 years ago & the place decided to press charges. I did pay it in full, plus all court costs within 2 months & it was dismissed, but there's still a "fifth degree theft" charge on my record. I was honest & upfront about this in the interview & am wondering if that's why I haven't got a call back? I left one message on the guys voicemail at this place & he didn't call me back. Question is, should I call & leave another message or I have his personal cell phone number as well, should I call that? Advice on how to maintain a friendship with someone that has depression? I have a friend of mine that lives a few hours away. We have always been "long-distance friends" and I know her through people I went to high school with. At one point I would drive out there quite a bit and we seemed to see each other at least every other month. The relationships with all of the people in the group has dwindled because of people moving away and whatnot. The last time I saw this particular friend was last September. She and her husband had spent the night and the next day a group of us were going to the beach. One minute we were laughing and having fun, the next minute she threw herself down on the floor and refused to speak to anyone. She left our house abruptly, then came back in and said she needed to go home to work on school work. A few weeks later I attended a good-bye party for someone in our group. Another friend called and texted her and her hubby to get to the party soon because I was leaving. I heard later that she arrived within minutes of me leaving the party to go home. The next day I texted her husband (whom I am also close with) and then again a few weeks later on her birhtday. Since she doesn't have a cell phone, that was the only way to reach her. Usually he responds back, but he stopped responding to my texts. I think I did try to call her house line, but she didn't call back. After hearing from mutual friends that she was driving all the way out near where I lived to visit other friends, but ignorning my atttempts at communication, I finally emailed her to ask if she was upset. I finally received some emails explaining that she is severely depressed and didn't feel like talking to anyone and just kind of needed space. She claimed it wasn't personal and that she may take for granted the fact that she can not see friends for awhile but still pick up where she left off and have a blast. At this point in the timeline she had canceled her phone, internet, quit her job and school. In March I think, I received another email saying she was feeling a little better and she gave me her cell number, but after being ignored for several months I just didn't want to feel the rejection of calling and feeling like I was bugging her. She also wanted to plan a group camping trip for April, but I told her I wanted to wait until after school got out because the weekends are my study time. I just got a voicemail from her last night asking if I want to go on a big hike later this summer. I am not sure if I am looking at this fairly, considering we are "long distance friends", but I just really don't like being ignored all year and then expected to pick back up like nothing happened. I understand she was depressed, and I have been there too. I guess I just have a hard time understanding why you would push people away who care about you. I don't want to be a "fair weather friend". It's not about her being depressed, it's more that I felt she was being a little selfish and I just don't know if I have the energy to be in a one-sided friendshipl. I don't want to be too needy, but I think I am just not one of those people who can go for almost a year without talking and then, boom! Let's spend a whole weekend climbing a mountain together. On the other hand, it does seem like she is making some effort to stay in touch. I did send her an email back saying I need to get back to her because I injured my knee and can't do any big hikes until I go to the doctor (true). that works for now, but I am still feeling like this friendship is a waste of my energy and kind of hurting my feelings. How do I find people by looking up their phone numbers? Is there a way to find people by looking up their phone numbers on the internet. Besides Whitepages, I already tried that. Yesterday, I got a call, but I didn't look at the number befor answering it. I anserwed, and they hung up. So I wrote down the number from my cell and called them. I said 'Somebody at this number just called me'. And a guy said 'i got the wrong number' or 'you got the wrong number', he wasn't very clear. then he hung up. Then today, I got another call, but it was from a completely differant number. The number looked like it might had been my friend's(i don't know her number by heart, i just keep it in my contacts) so i answered, and they hung up. So i called back (my friend is a freak and tends to hang up, so i figured i would call her back.) this time, nobody answered, but it went to a voicemail. the voice on the voicemail sounded like the same guy from yesterday and he was saying 'this is university...' (i didn't understand the rest, because once again it was unclear) (i also looked at my friend's number to see if she just playing a joke, like she tends to do, and they were differant numbers) finally i looked up both the numbers on Whitepages, and it said the number was 'unpublished'. i told my mom all of this, i gave her the numbers, and she told me not to answer my phone anymore. is there another way i could find out who this fricken creep is? P.S did this ever happen to you? if so, what did you do?

Does this girl want to meet me? Girls please answer? I have a problem. There is this girl who I have seen 2 years ago at a party and we both play the same sport and are good at it. On top of that she has the same ethnicity as me (in fact, that is partly why i met her). I wanted to meet her again and she said sure. Ok, we settled a place we could meet and we both exchanged phone numbers. I called her up before we could meet (several times I called) but she did not answer. Can I get a Oklahoma number without living there or without an actual phone? I live in California not Oklahoma but I am from Oklahoma and have a lot of friends/family there. Problem with AT&T? I wanted cheap plan to coexist with my cell phone. $19.75 AT&T said I could have unlimited local calls. Two days later (yesterday when they installed phone) I saw on internet AT&T unlmited local in a packeage like caller ID, Call waiting, voicemail, etc. I called them back yesterday and after going through3 people each told me there was nothing they could do unless the package was discusses at time of order. In frustration I said even if you can't give me all that's in package, at least give me caller ID. They said not without paying extra.Was I hopping mad? You bet. I even told the last person I'm not at all satisfied, and that I'll be leaving them within 30 days. I got on the horn to Vonnage and will have them soon. Am I supposed to negotiate phone service like when buying a car? I know it sounds stupid, but the day AT&T installed phone I called Vonage to get their service and keep my number.

How can I help out my little cousin who is extremely depressed and he is making wrong decisions? He suffers in the past with Bi - Polar disorder with mood swings which constantly changes often. He recently developed having migraine headaches. I've talked to his parents which is my aunt and uncle last night and they said they are extremely tired of him, he is constantly talking and asking his parents to get him the arranged marriage thing sooner. His parents told him that they can't do that currently until he finishes his college degree, If they are going to Vietnam next year it is just for visiting relatives. He starts throwing a fit and drove my aunt and uncle crazy. My uncle logged onto my cousin's laptop and looked into his browser internet history and founded that he constantly asks questions here on answers, his computer's hard drive is also filled with bunch of pictures of Vietnamese Girls. He also wrote in a Microsoft Word document saying that he is depressed because all of his cousins and friends are either married or have a girlfriend and he is the biggest loser on the earth. He also stated that he now wants to become a girl. My aunt founded out that he has a bookbag full of 3 pairs of girls shoes of very high heels, like 6 inch stiletto heels and a pair of mini skirts and a blouse and a wig. My aunt says he also took my aunts lip stick and eye liner. I couldn't speak to him because whenever I call his cell phone he either let it go to voicemail or just pick it up and hangup immediately. Were house phones really that bad? My rant for the day lol? I could understand teenagers or corporate millionaires wanting to be connected all the time, but as an adult, these cell phones are really getting annoying. Sure they do neat tricks, play music, go on the internet, yada yada, but is it really that great to be available 'all the time,' or at least within a short time of getting the voice mail. Whatever happened to personal time? And if you simply don't feel like talking to people (say on a weekend), they get offended if you don't call back right away. Metro PCS doesn't even give you an option to turn off the voicemail and then they delete messages so you can't keep it full! On top of that, who doesn't have a job nowadays that 'expects' you to be reachable ALL the time. Could you really tell your boss that the phone goes 'off' after work...I mean really? Cell Phones have been around for a while now, but, believe it or not, it's only been less then 10 years that they've been affordable enough for 'everybody' to have one, and for that matter, expected to have one. Could some of you guys answer this for me? I don't understand anything about this- it's truly gotta be a guy thing. But my now ex boyfriend and I had dated off and on for almost a year. It was awesome in the beginning everything was perfect and I was so happy- I think he was too. We dated two months and after some odd vibes I was getting (I felt like emotionally he wasn't there or he just didn't care anymore) we broke up suddenly. Continuous calls from 1-213-228-8111 all day? I started recieving calls from this number 1-213-228-8111 on my cell phone today. I googled the number and it seems to be a scam, and I am not the only one. They have called 5 times today, and every time I answer, they hang up. When I let it go to voicemail, I get no voicemail. I even tried calling the number back to get off their list, but after being on hold for 15 min. I gave up, realizing no one was going to answer. It is not only making me really angry, but a little worried. Here are the times they have called today (May 26): 1:48 p.m. 2:17 p.m. 2:51 p.m. 3:19 p.m. 3:45 p.m. How can I make this stop?? I have no idea how they got my cell phone number, I do not order anything on line, or give out my information via the internet at all.

please please help im crying? i don't have a good relationship with my dad (my parents are divorced, so i go see him everyother weekend) he pays for my cell phone and we got a 1500 txting plan (at the time i offered to pay him 5$ a month to upgrade to the unlimited plan, but he said no) and this month i went over (according to cingular) over 800 messages costing over 40 dollars he called and left me a voicemail screaming at me and i don't see how i went over by 800 i think cingular is pulling a crock again (they have before on me buying ringtones, when i don't even have internet on my fone) so what do i do? my dad said we'd talk about it when i go over next time but im scared cause hes really mean when hes mad and hes gonna yell at me and interrogate me please help

I was bit by a dog & dog's owner gave me false contact info, so even Animal Control is dead-ended. What now? THIS DOG HAS BITTEN BEFORE! The owner herself said so. But she will not take responsibility for the dog, or my hospital bills. Animal Control said she is criminally neglegent, but no one knows how to get her current address. She is all involved in 'dog rescue' and activities, but neglects to see that a known biter should not be at public places. I see her name ALL OVER the internet in local dog charity groups, but a ghost IRL. I have her age, full name, auto plate (DMV does not have current info) and home & cell #'s, as well as email address. I have left her one message per week on her voicemail for over 6 months. She will not answer or return phone calls. Several local counties have no record of her otherwise. The sheriff has come up with nothing. How can I attempt to recoup my $800 in out of pocket hospital expenses!!! I have made no other contact except via the one # she gave me. All the other info I have on her is thru me playing detective online thru the breed & charities.
